Use old leafy garden debris to make a great organic comnpost. It is very easy to make a leaf composting system, all you do is stake out four 2" by 2" posts around 5 feet high in the ground to create a square shape - then wrap chicken wire around it - the ideal height of a leaf composting system is around 3 -4 feet and a similar width. This is so you can get in with a fork and turn it over.
The main consideration is where you place it - it should be in an area that is dampish and gets some shade - too sunny a spot and it will dry out.
You also need to turn it as much as possible every few months to keep the air going round. SOme grass clippings can be added but best avoided - keep it just for leaves and you will soon have superb leaf compost.
